How to use the spiked mat?

The Akumata Acupressure Mat and Pillow is most often used in a lying position. It is best to place the mat on a relatively soft surface (e.g. mattress, soft rug). Adjust the massage time to your experience. Our recommended time of use of the akumata is:

- beginners: 10-20 minutes

- advanced users: 20-40 minutes with the possibility of extending the massage up to 2 hours, according to your own sensations and preferences.

At first it is recommended to use a cotton t-shirt or a thin material, due to the slight discomfort during the first sessions due to the pressure of the spikes.

In the case of moles or warts, they should be covered with a dressing so that they do not come into direct contact with the thorns.

How to care for and clean Akumata?

- Store the acupressure set in the bag that comes with the product.

- You can wash the mat from time to time with running water and a mild detergent or soap.

- Before starting the cleaning process, remove the foam from the cover and wash only the cotton surface, without rubbing the picks against each other.

- Let dry.

- The acupressure mat should not be machine washed or tumble dried.
