LDA: Automated Dynamic Laximetry
In tibial rotation, the evaluation of rotational laxities is objective and rigorous.
LDA allows a new approach to injury conditions of peripheral ligamentous structures that may be involved in rotational instability
A simple and fast method
Patient data is recorded and ankle and femur fixation parameters saved.
Recording of the rotation performed, medial and lateral.
The LDA software exposes ligament elongation curves and rotation differentials between the knees.
Automated, reproducible and precise measurements
Biofeedback system detecting muscle contractions of the hamstrings. (Risk of false negatives)
Objective preoperative evaluations
LDA in controlled tibial rotation puts tension on these tissue structures to detect peripheral injuries.
- Medial rotation: A significant rotation differential indicates an injury to the ACL and the anterolateral plane (possible choice of extra-articular surgery associated with ACL surgery)
- Lateral rotation: A significant rotation differential indicates an injury to the ACL and the posterolateral plane (possible choice of extra-articular surgery associated with ACL surgery)
Postoperative controls: This tibial rotation test controls the efficiency of the “rotational brakes” and the quality of the ACL and peripheral planes repairs.
