Using an innovative patented procedure, MAGCELL® ARTHRO is capable, despite its small size, of generating unusually strong pulsating magnetic fields of up to 100 mT (1000 Gauss) with a selective frequency range. Temporarily modifiable magnetic fields can be means of transmitting electric fields. Assuming that the strength of a field is – as in the case of MAGCELL® ARTHRO – sufficiently large, electromagnetic effect fields beyond the internationally recognized thresholds for biological effect can be induced in the tissue. Thanks to the possibility of direct application and, therefore, the shortest distance between the point of generation of the magnetic fields and the point of application, MAGCELL® ARTHRO also impresses with the lowest loss of intensity of the magnetic fields and their penetration up to the deep layers of the tissue („Electrodeless Electrotherapy“). Its battery power and, therefore, the permanent availability of the device make it possible to transform a therapeutic concept through frequent, brief treatments, unlike therapies until now only achievable in practice.

MAGCELL® ARTHRO can be used in painful osteoarthritis of the hip joint, knee and jaw joint, Hallux rigidus and valgus, as well as in other arthritic conditions. Clinical studies on the complementary use of MAGCELL® ARTHRO in acute osteoarthritis of the knee joint (1,2) have shown that the following clinical effects can be achieved, among others:

- Improvement of joint mobility

- Decreased knee joint volume

- Significant reduction of the WOMAC index

Magnetic field therapies exist in different forms and types. Various therapeutic forms are not sufficiently documented in their effectiveness from a scientific point of view. The MAGCELL® ARTHRO therapeutic product cannot be compared with “Pulse Signal Therapy (PST)”, “Multiple Biosignal Therapy (MBST)”, “Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Therapy”, “TENS” or other forms of transmission such as mats or coils of magnetic fields.
