THERAPEUTIC INFORMATION - Microwave Therapy:
Microwave therapy is included in the high frequency therapies . The different frequencies of high-frequency therapy have in common that, under their influence, heat is produced in the tissue.

Microwaves are applied by means of the so-called radiation field method. In this case, electromagnetic waves are transmitted in beams, through radiators of different sizes and shapes, depending on the application. The energy of these waves is absorbed directly into the tissue and transformed into heat.

The penetration depth of microwaves is less than that of short waves. Microwave therapy is preferably applied when local heating of the muscles or connective tissue structures is desired. , such as ligaments, tendons, capsule, etc.
