EPTE Percutaneous Electrolysis has been a revolution due to all the benefits, find out more about Percutaneous Electrolysis and how to use it

    ¿QUÉ ES LA ELECTRÓLISIS PERCUTÁNEA?

EPTE® Percutaneous Therapeutic Electrolysis is a revolutionary technique for the treatment of different musculoskeletal dysfunctions, being its main application in its beginnings, but not the only one, tendon dysfunction.

    EXPLICACIÓN

    What does it consist of?

EPTE is an invasive physiotherapy technique that consists of the application, in short periods, of galvanic electrical currents of medium and low intensity, through an acupuncture needle in the area to be treated. The tip of the needle is placed in the desired area and emits currents, which are received by the tissue thanks to the adhesion of an electrode that acts as closure of the current circuit.

Through the current emitted from the end of the needle, it is possible to cause controlled inflammation to achieve new healing of the tendon in question, with the aim of reducing or eliminating the symptoms, as well as the physical damage suffered by the specific area.

    An alternative technique

Although EPTE is not usually the priority option for  treatment , it is used when conservative techniques do not improve the injury. It is also beginning to be used in other types of injuries, such as certain muscle pathologies, since it seems that the result is also satisfactory. It should be noted that it is indicated for all types of patients, from elite athletes to workers or housewives.
