MUSTEC HD

Portable precision muscle testing technology

The dynamometer of standard muscle strength for your clinic, in addition to being the hand-held dynamometer with which you can train, it helps you measure isometric muscle strength.

MUSTEC technology was developed for the purpose of muscle rehabilitation.

Mustec HD Muscle Strength Dynamometer

In addition to making accurate measurements effectively , the wireless electronic device is extremely practical, ergonomic and lightweight. A therapist can simply carry it by hand to different work spaces. This innovative device accurately records and displays the maximum force and time (in seconds) exerted on a transducer. Forces are measured in a range of 0.1 pounds to 300 pounds and can be displayed in pounds (Lbs), kilos (Kg), and newtons (N) in increments of 0.1 units of measurement.

The Mustec HD includes three accessories: two ergonomically shaped accessories to ensure pain-free skin contact and a pain point accessory. The pain point accessory measures pain, which is usually a subjective experience unless measured and quantified by Mustec HD. .

How to use mustec HD

Mustec HD recommends two comparable measurement methods:

1. The breakage test

The doctor holds the Mustec HD against an anatomical point on the patient's body, exerting force in the opposite direction of muscle movement. The patient actively tries to hold the Mustec HD in place. When the physical therapist overcomes the patient's strength, maximum force is reached for the muscle or muscle group to be tested, the Mustec HD records the break point measurement. The isometric muscle force value is then displayed on the Mustec HD in the selected unit of measurement. /span>

2. The test of doing

The shape An alternative measurement is the measurement of muscle strength through a 'make' test.
The professional Hold the Mustec HD firmly or place it on a fixed object. The patient then adopts a position that allows them to measure a specific muscle group. The patient exerts force on the Mustec HD and stops when maximum force is applied. The isometric muscle strength value is then displayed on the  Mustec HD in the selected unit of measure.
